For Autumn/Winter 2014, we’ve collaborated with Herschel Supply Co. to give our classic Desert Boot an adventurous rework.
Like us, Herschel Supply is a family business. Founded in 2009 by brothers Jamie and Lyndon Cormack, the duo named the brand after the small Canadian town of Herschel. With a population of 30, it’s a place three generations of Cormacks have hung their hats.
Based in Vancouver, Herschel Supply crafts timeless product. It’s a purveyor of modern, utilitarian travel goods and accessories inspired by the past. And also like us, they redefine classic design with equipment for the everyday adventurer – all with the utmost attention to detail.
For our first ever collaboration, we’ve reimagined our iconic Desert Boot, giving the silhouette a unique and tactile mixture of soft suede, cotton ripstop, selvedge denim and premium leather. Rendered in a deep navy blue, we’ve fully lined the shoe with Herschel Supply’s signature red and white stripes. The result? The perfect shoe for the daily explorer. It’s versatile. Thoroughly modern. Designed to stand the test of time.
To celebrate the launch of our Desert Boot – in conjunction with Issue 3 of Herschel Supply’s The Journal – we took to the Walls Gallery in Amsterdam. Watch what went down:
